Lowe named new softball coach at BYU-Hawaii
Scott Lowe has been appointed as the new softball coach at Brigham Young University-Hawai‘i.
In addition to coaching a softball team that went 13-27 last year, Lowe will continue his duties as assistant athletic director and sports information director. Lowe has been BYUH’s sports information director for the past 12 years and assistant athletic director for the last six. He has played and coached softball prior to coming to BYUH.
He replaces Jackson Mapu, who retired after 10 seasons at BYUH.
“I am really looking forward to the challenge of building a winning tradition in softball at BYU-Hawai‘i,” Lowe said in a release. “I feel we have a good nucleus of players returning this coming season and can’t wait to get on the field with them.”
Lowe plans to fill out his coaching staff soon.
