A Fourth of July "Block Party and Fireworks Spectacular" will be hosted by Naval Station Pearl Harbor beginning at 2 p.m. on Independence Day at Ward Field on the base.

The party, which is open only to holders of military ID and their sponsored guests, will include a poker tournament, car show, carnival games petting zoo, pony rides — and plenty of live entertainment, food and prize giveaways.

The climax of the event will be the fireworks display beginning at 9 p.m.
