Big new south swell is on the way

Surf along south-facing shores is on the way down, but bigger stuff is on the way, the National Weather Service said.
South facing shores on Oahu are expected to see surf of 3 to 6 feet today, forecasters said.
Elsewhere, look for surf of 2 to 4 feet along west-facing shores, 2 feet or less along north-facing shores and 1 to 3 feet along east-facing shores.
However, there will be a series of south swells reaching Island shores this week. First, forerunners from the new swell will arrive today.
This swell will build through tonight with surf approaching the 8-foot advisory level for south-facing shores early tomorrow.
Another larger south swell will likely exceed advisory levels early Friday.
