CFB: Nebraska tight end Cotton cited after campus spat

LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska tight end Ben Cotton was cited for alcohol possession and other violations after campus police were alerted to an argument at a residence hall.
Police spokesman Carl Oestmann says Cotton was involved in an argument with a resident of Smith Hall about 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
An incident report indicates Cotton's blood-alcohol level was 0.85.
The 19-year-old was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol, disturbing the peace and trespassing.
Cotton, who attended Ames High School in Iowa, is the son of assistant coach Barney Cotton.
