University of Hawaii senior Carolina Perez is Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week following her Top-10 finish at last week's Fresno State Lexus Classic.

Perez, from Ibaque, Columbia, had the best individual finish from the four WAC schools competing in Fresno. She tied for eighth place at 4-over par 220, with rounds of 73-73-74. It was the second-best finish of her career. Her rounds of 73 tied for her low round this season.

The award is Perez's first of her career. Through six tournaments this season, Perez has a 77.6 stroke average, second-best on the team.

She and the Rainbow Wahine are currently competing in the San Jose State Spartan Invitational in California.
