CINCINNATI — Free-agent running back Cedric Benson has agreed to stay with the Cincinnati Bengals, who gave him a chance to resurrect his career last season.
Benson agreed to terms Tuesday, said a person familiar with the deal who spoke on condition of anonymity because it hadn't been announced.
Benson was signed to a one-year deal last season, and wound up leading the team in rushing with 747 yards. He had been released by the Bears following two offseason arrests in Texas. Those cases were dropped when grand juries declined to indict.
