First Hawaiiian Bank Foundation supports foster care program

The First Hawaiian Bank Foundation has awarded a $100,000 grant to Family Programs Hawaii to support an initiative that provides monthly visitation for siblings separated by the foster care system
The two-year grant will support the agency's Project Visitation program. Family Programs Hawaii is a social service agency providing statewide services to nearly 4,000 children and families involved in the child welfare system.
First Hawaiian Bank Foundation is the charitable arm of First Hawaiian Bank. In 2008, the foundation and bank contributed $3.5 million to more than 350 non-profit organizations. The foundation funds educational opportunities, access to health care, services for children and youth, human service needs, as well as culture and the arts.
