State baseball: Kailua edges Maui in 11 innings

Alika Ramseyer-Ho pitched six-plus shutout innings of relief and Bob Lastimosa scored on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 11th, enabling Kailua to beat Maui, 3-2, today.
It was the opening game of the state Division I baseball tournament at Les Murakami Stadium.
Lastimosa was hit by a pitch to start the 11th, was sacrified to second, stole third and scored on Tyson-Wade Lono hit to right field.
Ramseyer-Ho, the unfortunate losing pitcher in the league championship against Pearl City, pitched 6° innings of scoreless relief. He struck out nine and walked one.
Kailua plays No. 3 seed Hilo 11:30 a.m. Thursday in a quarterfinal game.
