Motorcyclist killed in Big Island accident

A 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed yesterday on Highway 137 on the Big Island near the Pohoiki Boat Ramp.
Big Island police received a call about the accident at 4:35 p.m. They found the male motorcyclist dead in shrubbery 300 yards south of the Pohoiki Boat Ramp four-way stop on Highway 137.
The motorcycle, which had been heading south, had run off the road, according to Big Island police Capt. Roger Carvalho of the Pahoa station.
