RENO, Nev. � Marko Cukic, a 6-foot-9 power forward who moved to the United States from Serbia in 2007, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball next season at Nevada.

Athletic Department spokeswoman Rhonda Lundin confirms that the 235-pound Cukic committed to the Wolf Pack on Wednesday.
Cukic trained last season at the IMG Basketball Academy in Bradenton, Fla. He averaged 10 points and seven rebounds a game playing against teams in Florida�s junior college system.
Cukic had been considering some Ivy League schools and didn�t visit the Nevada campus until last week. He tells the Reno Gazette-Journal he plans to return to Serbia next week to try out for the country�s national team.
