A male motorcycle rider was in critical condition today following an accident with a car in Kailua.

The man appeared to be in his 20s, said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city's Emergency Services Department.
The accident occurred at about 11:21 this morning near the intersection of North Kalaheo Avenue and Uilama Street.
The motorcycle driver was taken to a trauma center in critical condition. No one else was injured in the accident.
