Hawaii State Farm Fair set for July dates
The annual Hawaii State Farm Fair will take place July 18 and 19 at Bishop Museum with a 4-H livestock exhibit, agricultural displays, a farmers market of Island fruits, tropical plant displays and sales.
There will be entertainment and, of course, food. At the Ag-Tastic Expo, Hawaii-grown, Hawaii-made products will be showcased, including coffee from five different islands and a new locally made fresh butter. On the menu are grass-fed beef burgers, teri beef, kalua pig, chili and rice, gyros, garlic shrimp, Kahuku corn and Sugarland watermelon.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children aged 4-12, and younger children enter free. Ticket price includes entry to the Bishop’s summer attraction “Backyard Monsters — The World of Insects.” Hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
