DENVER — The U.S. Olympic Committee has secured a sponsorship deal with Adecco, a career-services company that can help Olympic athletes find jobs to fit their schedules.
The contract will provide services to U.S. athletes, but no money to the federation.
The USOC took a hit earlier this year when Home Depot decided not to renew its sponsorship, which included an extensive jobs program that employed 86 U.S. athletes when it was discontinued in March.
The USOC has 17 of its 22 key sponsorship deals renewed through at least 2012. Renewals with Bank of America and AT&T are in the works and the federation is still looking for sponsors to replace Home Depot, General Motors and Kellogg’s.
