Hawai'i Pacific's Quinn Horochuk won the 5-kilometer race in 18 minutes, 53.8 seconds.

Lacey Krout finished second in 19:01.7 as BYUH scored a low-best 22 points.

In the men's 8K race, Amos Maru won in 25:17.0 to lead Academy of Art to the team title with 20 points.

Sisters Courtney and Camille Schultz led the New Mexico State women's team to the Western Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships yesterday at Reno, Nev.

Courtney won the 5-kilometer race in 19 minutes, 11.4 seconds with Camille second in 19:12.4 as the Aggies had a low-best 29 points.

Hawai'i, led by the 24th-place finish of Jessica Forrester in 20:33.2, finished seventh with 170 points.

Brian McKenna won the men's 8K race in 26:00.1 to lead Utah State to the title with 25 points.
