BOISE, Idaho — Kellen Moore was his usual, excellent self.

For his brother, contributing to another Boise State runaway was a new experience.

Kirby Moore caught his first college touchdown pass from big brother Kellen and the No. 6 Broncos were sharp once again, rolling over San Jose State, 45-7, yesterday for their eighth consecutive victory.

"I think everybody on our sideline had a smile on their face after that play because to get a chance to play Division I football with your brother when not that many guys get to play Division I football — and then your brother is good enough to play and you can then hook up for touchdowns, I think that's really awesome," Broncos coach Chris Petersen said. "I think that's why Kirby came here for those exact situations."

Kellen Moore finished with three TD passes and ran for another one, and the Broncos stayed perfect at 8-0 (3-0 in the Western Athletic Conference) and in the hunt for a BCS bid with TCU, the other undefeated team from a conference that doesn't automatically qualify for the prized postseason games.

Moore, who came into the game as the nation's most efficient passer, was 21 of 33 for 278 yards. He now has 24 touchdown passes this season, and the Broncos rolled up 430 yards in beating San Jose State (1-6, 0-3) for the 10th straight time.

NO. 8 TCU 41, UNLV 0

FORT WORTH, Texas — Andy Dalton threw three touchdown passes, Ed Wesley scored running and catching the ball and the Horned Frogs (8-0, 4-0 Mountain West) earned their first shutout of the season with a rout of the Rebels (3-6, 1-4). UNLV beat Hawaii, 34-33, Sept. 19.

UNLV managed only 160 yards, 40 of it coming on a run by backup quarterback Mike Clausen, and was shut out for the first time in 69 games.

NO. 17 OHIO STATE 45, NEW MEXICO STATE 0

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Dane Sanzenbacher caught two touchdown passes and Terrelle Pryor threw for one and ran for another as the Buckeyes (7-2) cruised past the Aggies (3-6). New Mexico State plays at Hawaii Nov. 14.

The game was a respite for Ohio State, which closes the regular season with pivotal Big Ten games at Penn State, against Iowa and at Michigan.

NO. 25 NOTRE DAME 40, WASHINGTON STATE 14

SAN ANTONIO — Jimmy Clausen was 22 of 27 for 268 yards and two touchdowns, Golden Tate scored two touchdowns, including a spectacular 50-yard grab of a desperation heave at the end of the first half, as the Fighting Irish (6-2) got their first easy win in almost two months by clobbering the Cougars (1-7).

Robert Hughes ran for 131 yards on 24 carries and had a touchdown, delighting a Texas crowd that was overwhelmingly filled with Fighting Irish fans. The Alamodome blowout debuted Notre Dame's plan to play one offsite home game a year. Washington State lost to Hawaii, 38-30, Sept. 12.

IDAHO 35, LOUISIANA TECH 34

Running back De'Maundray Woolridge ran for a 2-yard touchdown with 52 seconds left as the host Vandals (7-2, 4-1) held off the Bulldogs (3-5, 2-3) when Matt Nelson missed a 56-yard field goal attempt wide left as time expired. Louisiana Tech beat Hawaii, 27-6, Sept. 30, while Idaho defeated Hawaii, 35-23, Oct. 17.

FRESNO STATE 31, UTAH STATE 27

Ryan Mathews rushed for 185 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown with 4:53 remaining, to help the host Bulldogs (5-3, 4-1) rally from a 27-17 halftime deficit to beat the Aggies (2-6, 1-3). Fresno State routed Hawaii, 42-17, Oct. 10. Utah State plays at Hawaii Saturday.

SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA 25, CENTRAL ARKANSAS 21

Tyler Beatty threw for 297 yards and three touchdowns, and Chris Wilson caught six passes for 163 yards and two TDs as the host Lions (5-3, 3-1 Southland Conference) rallied past the Bears (5-3, 2-2). Central Arkansas lost to Hawaii, 25-20, Sept. 4.

TEMPLE 27, NAVY 24

Bernard Pierce rushed for 267 yards, including a 41-yard touchdown with 2:41 left, and James Nixon returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown as the visiting Owls (6-2) became bowl eligible after beating the Midshipmen (6-3). Navy plays at Hawaii, Nov. 28.

WISCONSIN 37, PURDUE 0

John Clay ran for 123 yards and three touchdowns and the host Badgers (6-2, 3-2) shut out a Big Ten opponent for the first time since 1999 to snap a two-game losing streak with a rout of the Boilermakers (3-6, 2-3). Wisconsin plays at Hawaii Dec. 5.
