Michael Jackson's father is seeking an allowance from his son's estate to help cover expenses that exceed $15,000 a month, according to court documents filed yesterday.

The request seeking an unspecified amount for Joe Jackson was filed by lawyer Brian Oxman.

Michael Jackson's 2002 will omitted any mention of his father. The two had an often-strained relationship.

The singer's private trust calls for money to be paid to his mother, Katherine, his three young children, and various charities.

The latest court documents said Joe Jackson receives a $1,700 monthly Social Security payment and had relied on his son for support for many years.

TEEN NAMED AS HEAD OF BURGLARY RING

A young woman broke into the homes of Hollywood celebrities she admired, including Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Audrina Patridge, because she wanted to own their designer clothes and jewelry, an informant told police.

According to a Las Vegas police search warrant obtained yesterday, Nicholas Prugo, 18, told Los Angeles police detectives that Rachel Jungeon Lee was the "driving force" behind the break-ins.

Prugo told police Lee, 19, would suggest a target, then Prugo would trawl the Internet for information about where they lived and when they would be away from home. Las Vegas police were involved because Lee lives there.

'GIRLS GONE WILD' FOUNDER SENTENCED

A judge in Los Angeles sentenced "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis yesterday to 301 days already served and a year of probation for filing false income tax returns and bribing Nevada jail workers.

U.S. District Judge S. James Otero accepted the terms of a plea deal between Francis and prosecutors, who struck the agreement after learning on the eve of trial that a key witness had withheld information from them.

The soft-porn mogul who filmed and marketed videos of young women was indicted by a federal grand jury on tax evasion charges in 2007. He initially was accused of taking $20 million in fraudulent tax deductions.

WOODS SUES HOSPITAL FOR BROTHER'S DEATH

Actor James Woods has sued a Rhode Island hospital over the 2006 death of his younger brother.

Woods yesterday declined to discuss the lawsuit in detail, but said he wants "justice" for his brother, Michael, who was 49 when he died at Kent Hospital in Warwick of an apparent heart attack.

The two-time Oscar-nominated actor claims his brother received negligent medical care.
