Mililani's Joe Lee and Wahiawä's Jimmy Lowe won national titles in their respective divisions at the 14th annual U.S. Open Racquetball Championships at the Racquet Club in Memphis, Tenn., in late October.

Lee won the men's open 55-over title for the fourth year in a row. His bracket featured 15 players.

Lowe won the 45-over open division, which featured 25 players.

Lee defeated Texas' Mike Robinson in the final, 15-5, 15-3. He defeated another player from Texas, as well as players from Colorado and Virginia to reach the final.

Lowe beat Georgia's Scott Cullins in the finals, 12-15, 15-7, 15-2. He beat players from Arizona, Virginia, California to reach the final.

NEW 1 P.M. START FOR LALAS' SOCCER CLINIC

The Verizon Wireless Youth Soccer Clinic, featuring Alexi Lalas, will begin at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Waipi'o Soccer Complex.

The clinic was originally scheduled to start at 9 a.m. but had to change to accommodate Lalas' flight plans. He is scheduled to broadcast the MLS Conference finals between the Houston Dynamo and the Los Angeles Galaxy at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., Friday night.

More than 480 kids are registered for the sold-out clinic.

Schedule: Check-in, 1 p.m.; welcome and introductions, 2 p.m.; clinic, 2:15 to 4 p.m.; raffle and autograph session, 4:15 to 5 p.m.

PATRIOT WALK/RUN WILL HAVE SIGN UPS TODAY

An additional sign-up day has been added today for tomorrow's 5k (3.1 miles) Patriot Walk/Run, which raises funds for the state's only program that houses homeless veterans.

Today's sign-ups will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Waterfront at Puuloa (5105 Iroquois Ave.). Entries will be accepted until race day.

The walk/run will take place 8 a.m. with pre-race ceremonies at 7:45 a.m. The race will follow along the beach and along the lagoon at the Waterfront at Puuloa (formerly known as Iroquois Point Island Club) and will raise funds for U.S. VETS-Hawai'i.

MAUI INVITATIONAL: 'SWORDS TO HOLD CLINIC

Chaminade University and EA SPORTS Maui Invitational will offer a hoops clinic on Maui Nov. 21.

The clinic, for kids 7 fo 17, will be held 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Malu Ulu Olele Park (Front Street courts in Lahaina).

The Chaminade University men's basketball program, including head coach Matt Mahar, will work with kids on skills, drills, dribbling, passing and shooting.

Participants will receive an Adidas basketball and the opportunity to win tickets to the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational, which will be held Nov. 23 to 25 at the Lahaina Civic Center.
