Five members of family escape injury in house fire
Residents of a Pauoa Valley home escaped injury yesterday when fire caused extensive damage to their two-story house on Liko Lane.
Four fire companies responded to the 2:37 p.m. alarm and had the fire under control at 2:49 p.m., fire Capt. Terry Seelig said.
The fire damaged the entire second floor. Loss was estimated at $500,000 to the building and $25,000 to its contents, Seelig said.
Eleven adults and seven children, all part of a family, live in the house.
Four adults and a child were home at the time, Seelig said.
