CFB: Nevada’s Lippincott out for bowl season

RENO, Nev. — Nevada running back Luke Lippincott is out for the bowl season because of a broken toe.
Football coach Chris Ault says the senior suffered the injury Nov. 21 against New Mexico State.
Lippincott played in Nevada’s 44-33 loss Friday at Boise State. But Ault says he didn’t learn until Monday that the team captain would need surgery.
Lippincott served mostly as a back up to Vai Taua this season. He had one carry for 6 yards against Boise State and returned three kickoffs for 78 yards.
The Wolf Pack finished the regular season at 8-4, and 7-1 in the Western Athletic Conference.
The team likely won’t know it’s bowl prospects until after this weekend’s gams.
