A 14-year-old girl was injured Thursday night when she was hit by a car driven by a police car while in a crosswalk on Kamoku Street near çIolani School.

Police said the officer, who was driving a subsidized vehicle, said he did not see the girl prior to colliding with her about 7:55 p.m.
City paramedics were called to the scene and took the girl to an area hospital in good condition.
HPD’s Traffic Division is investigating the incident.
