David Letterman acknowledged on yesterday's show that he had sexual relationships with female employees and that someone tried to extort $2 million from him over the affairs.

During the taping of his CBS late-night show in New York, Letterman discussed receiving a threat to either pay $2 million or risk the relationships being made public.

In a release from the show's producer, Letterman said he referred the matter to the Manhattan district attorney's office and that an investigation ended in an arrest yesterday. Letterman did not identify the person he said was arrested.

Letterman and longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko married in March. The couple began dating in 1986 and have a son, Harry, born in November 2003.

The father of the children on "Jon & Kate Plus 8" says it's "not healthy" for his kids to continue appearing on the TLC reality show.

Jon Gosselin says he had "an epiphany one day" and realized his 5-year-old sextuplets and 8-year-old twins shouldn't be filmed at the family's Pennsylvania home while their parents are going through a divorce.

During an interview on "Larry King Live" yesterday, Gosselin said he wants to become friends with his estranged wife, Kate, and "figure out our marriage."

TLC says it has shut down the filming after receiving a cease-and-desist order from Gosselin.

WEST-GAGA TOUR ABRUPTLY GOES SOUTH

Kanye West and Lady Gaga's highly anticipated tour is over before it even began.

Just days after announcing dates for an ambitious joint show, the tour was canceled.

Live Nation announced the news in a brief statement yesterday that did not offer any explanation. Refunds are available for those who brought tickets for the tour.

AUTOPSY SHOWS KING OF POP FIT AS FIDDLE

Michael Jackson's outward appearance was marred when he died with puncture marks to his arms, surgical scars around his body and cosmetic tattoos on his lips and scalp.

But internally, the pop star was in mostly fine physical shape for a 50-year-old man, according to his autopsy report obtained by The Associated Press.

The Los Angeles County coroner's report shows Jackson's weight of 136 pounds was in the acceptable range for a 5-foot-9 man. His heart was strong with no sign of plaque buildup. His kidneys and most other major organs were normal.

The singer did have health issues, however, including arthritis in the lower spine and some fingers, and mild plaque buildup in his leg arteries.
