Reporter Olena Heu will join KHON2's morning show as co-anchor with Jai Cunningham, the television station announced this morning.

The move takes effect Oct. 19, station president and general manager Joe McNamara said.
“This is an exciting time and unprecedented move forward in these challenging times,” McNamara said in a statement.
Kirk Matthews, who currently co-anchors the morning show with Kathy Muneno, will deliver headlines and special features. Muneno will join KHON2’s weekend show as a weather anchor.
The rest of the morning show team — reporter Manolo Morales and weather and traffic reporter Trini Kaopuiki — will continue in their current assignments.
