Maria Jacquemetton, a writer-producer on AMC’s critically-acclaimed television series, “Mad Men,” is presenting a Pacific New Media workshop, “Writing for Television — Get Started and Go!” on Oct. 24 and 25 at the University of Hawaii-Manoa campus.
The workshop takes place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 24 and 25 at Krauss Hall, room 012 (Yukiyoshi Room). Cost is $200.
“Mad Men” is this year’s winner of the Emmy and Golden Globe for Best TV Drama Series.
With her writing partner, André Jacquemetton, Jacquemetton has written for well known television shows including “Star Trek,” “Baywatch,” “Relic Hunter” and “Highlander.” The Jacquemettons have also developed an original Hawaii-based pilot, “Almost Paradise,” for Industry Entertainment with actor Esai Morales attached.
The two-day intensive workshop gives an overview of writing on a television staff, in-depth examination of writing an episode for a television series, and an opportunity to pitch and workshop ideas for a teleplay.
