NEW TASTING MENU SERVED IN CABANA

Azure Restaurant at the Royal Hawaiian has introduced "The Royal Papa'ina," a special tasting menu devised by chef Jon Matsubara and served in a private beachfront cabana offering views of Diamond Head and the ocean. The eight-course menu, including amuse bouche, intermezzo and cheese course, begins with caviar and ends with (what else?) chocolate. Lobster, Wagyu beef, veal and cheese with macadamia nuts all play a role.

The meal costs $150 and can be prepared for a maximum of four guests, with wine and cocktail pairings additional. Reservations required. Information: 923-7311.
