A 10-year-old girl was arrested yesterday morning after her 8-year-old brother reported being assaulted.

The children live together in Kalihi and got into an argument, police said. The girl picked up a weapon and hit the boy, causing him pain, police said.

Police were called about 7 a.m. and arrested the girl on suspicion of second-degree assault. Police did not disclose the nature of the boy's injuries or what weapon was allegedly used by the girl.
