A 30-year-old Waianae man was arrested yesterday after allegedly pointing a rifle at his girlfriend during an argument.
The woman, 27, told police the two had been living together for about five months.
She said she was arguing with her boyfriend about 9:50 a.m. when he threatened her with the rifle, saying “Don’t mess with me.”
The woman told police the man jumped in his car and drove away before officers arrived at their home.
Police reported finding the man in his car a short time later. A search of the car failed to turn up the rifle.
The boyfriend was arrested on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.
