DALLAS — Newly acquired Mavericks forward Tim Thomas needs arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.
Thomas got hurt while working out at his home in California. The procedure will be done Tuesday by the team’s orthopedic surgeon. A timetable for his return will be set once they see how the procedure goes.
Thomas, a 12-year veteran, signed with Dallas during the summer. He spent time with the Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls last season.
