Jamba Juice introduces flatbread pizzas to Hawaii stores
Jamba Juice has introduced mini flatbread pizzas to its Hawaiçi stores as part of an effort by the smoothie chain to diversify.
The company rolled out what it calls California Flatbreads to 32 local stores last week, making Hawaiçi the latest market to add more food offerings under an initiative Jamba Juice launched in June.
Emeryville, Calif.-based Jamba Juice Co. began testing the flatbreads as well as sandwiches, wraps and salads at 222 California stores in June, and since then has been introducing the lineup to other stores in major markets such as New York, Chicago and Seattle.
The company said the new products represent the most significant addition to store menus since Jamba Juice was established in 1990, and are intended to help reverse a nearly two-year decline in average sales for company-owned stores open at least a year.
