EARTH MONTH
STUDENT ART ON DISPLAY AROUND O'AHU
Student art showing the impacts of marine debris will be on display at several locations on O'ahu throughout April, "Earth Month." O'ahu students in grades 3 through 12 took part in the Marine Debris Awareness Student Art Project earlier this year, after volunteers from the nonprofit Beach Environmental Awareness Campaign Hawai'i — B.E.A.C.H. — visited classrooms.
The student art displays can be viewed at the state Capitol (foyer, basement level) and Hawai'i State Library (first-floor reading room), ING Direct Cafe in Waikīkī, and the public libraries in 'Ewa, Kailua, Kāne'ohe, Liliha, McCully-Mō'ili'ili, Wai'anae and Waipahu.
