She teaches her little ones how to explore their world. She offers loving words when her teen goes through a breakup. She takes phone calls late in the evening from her grown children in need of parenting advice. As the saying goes, Moms know best.
Fill in the blank, in 50 words or less:
"Mom was right when she said ... "
We'll publish our favorite responses in the paper in honor of Mother's Day.
Send your answer along with your name, age, daytime phone number and address to: Mother's Day, Island Life, The Honolulu Advertiser, 605 Kapi'olani Blvd., Honolulu, HI 96813; or e-mail it to zserrano@honoluluadvertiser.com with "Mother's Day" in the subject line. Submissions may be edited.
We also welcome photos of you with your mom — original prints or high-resolution images — which may appear in print or online. Original prints will not be returned. Deadline is April 26.
