TOKYO — The World Boxing Council has summoned the father of Japanese flyweight Koki Kameda to appear before a disciplinary committee following an outburst after his son's defeat to Pongsaklek Wonjongkam last month.

Shiro Kameda launched a verbal tirade against fight officials after his son lost to Thailand's Pongsaklek in Tokyo on March 27.

Shiro Kameda will have to attend a hearing in Mexico City on April 12-13 to review the case and discuss "corresponding actions," the WBC said.

The Japan Boxing Commission said Wednesday it will move to void the boxing license of Shiro Kameda, who in October 2007 had his corner license suspended indefinitely for encouraging his other son, Daiki, to fight dirty in a flyweight bout.
