Injured man airlifted from Kauai's Hanakoa Valley

A 55-year-old Lawai man was airlifted from Hanakoa Valley Monday after injuring his right ankle.
A county news release says the fire department's Air-1 helicopter flew into the valley on the North Shore to retrieve the man.
The man was taken to Wilcox Hospital for treatment.
