'No ticket' line to be opened for free spring concert

Expand your musical horizons while honoring Hawai'i's music community at Hawai'i Youth Symphony's free spring concert, 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. Themed "Celebrating a Community: Today We Play," the event is dedicated to the musicians of the Honolulu Symphony and features one of the state's finest youth orchestras, Youth Symphony I.
The concert includes the Honolulu Symphony Chorus, two featured pianists, winners of the Aloha International Piano Festival and new work that combines the orchestra, a large chorus and an original Hawaiian chant.
Tickets are no longer available, but organizers will open a "no ticket" line at the event, and they expect seats will be available. If the concert hall fills up, anyone left in line will receive a complimentary ticket for a future Hawai'i Youth Symphony concert. Information: www.hiyouthsymphony.org.
