Hawaii Self Storage has hired Naoi Yuen as business development and community relations director. He will lead the company's business development sector and extensive community outreach initiatives. He was formerly vice president of Easter Seals Hawaii.

Mountain Apple Company Hawai'i has appointed Lisa Soong vice president of operations. She will be responsible for the overall direction of the recording label's operational activities, with the aim of maximizing growth. Over the past decade, Soong has played an integral part in the company's growth and the cultivation of new artists.

ACADEMY OF THE PACIFIC

The Academy of the Pacific, a private middle and high school in 'Alewa Heights, has hired Louis Young as head of school, effective July 1.

Young previously served as upper school head at Seabury Hall, a sixth- through 12th-grade independent school on Maui. He held that position for nine years.

Mark Beers has joined Alexander & Baldwin Inc. as manager of corporate planning. He will lead corporate planning activities, among them, annual operating plans, periodic forecasts, capital plans and special corporate development studies.
