NBA: Blazers G Roy has surgery, out 1-2 weeks
Associated Press
PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and will miss one to two weeks.
Roy has already been ruled out of Portland's first-round series against the Phoenix Suns, which starts on Sunday. The team is leaving open the possibility of his return should the Blazers advance.
The three-time All-Star leads Portland with an average of 21.5 points per game. He injured his knee last weekend in the first half of a game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Roy will not travel with the team for the first two playoff games in Phoenix.
