Traffic stop results in firearms arrest in Waialua
Police arrested a 28-year-old Waialua man on suspicion of two firearms charges and other offenses following a traffic stop yesterday afternoon.
The man was pulled over about 3:20 p.m. after patrol officers saw him commit a traffic infraction, police said.
While he was being questioned, the driver admitted he had a firearm and marijuana in the car, police said.
The driver was then arrested without incident on suspicion of failing to properly store a firearm, possession of a firearm having a defaced serial number, third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug and driving without a license
