Sammy Hagar, former lead singer for Van Halen, will be performing for one night only tomorrow at Pipeline Café with his band the Wabos (named for his line of premium tequilas, Cabo Wabo). The Red Rocker has been doing solo work since 1996 while also continuing his career as a frontman for various side-project metal bands like supergroup "Chickenfoot," with Van Halen's Michael Anthony, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, and guitar great Joe Satriani.

I SEE BLUE PEOPLE

Just barely out of theaters, mega-huge blockbuster "Avatar" is just days away from its DVD debut on — what else? — Earth Day (Thursday). The DVD will be available for purchase, but it won't be available on Netflix for about another month.

'OCEANS' AWAY

Disneynature's "Oceans," a documentary about life in the deep blue, opens on Earth Day (Thursday). "Oceans" is a follow-up to 2008's "Earth." Actor Pierce Brosnan narrates the film, which is chock-full of fun ocean facts like this one: A giant squid has eyes the size of a dinner plate.
