LINCOLN, Neb. — Ndamukong Suh has announced that he will donate $2 million to the Nebraska strength and conditioning program and an additional $600,000 for an endowed scholarship in the university's College of Engineering.
Suh was the 2009 Associated Press national defensive player of the year and a Heisman Trophy finalist. He is projected to be among the top two or three picks in the NFL draft.
Suh made the announcement in the first quarter of Saturday's Red-White Game.
He says he and his family appreciate the support they received from the football program and fans. He says he wants to give back to the Cornhuskers' strength program because it helped make him the player he's become.
He earned his degree in construction management.
