The state Department of Health said today that there was a recent mild outbreak of H1N1 flu at school on Maui.
The agency said a number of students at the school either had not been vaccinated or had not received the recommended two doses for children under 10.
"Fortunately, this incident was short-lived and seems to have run its course," Marc Nishimoto, of the Maui District Health Office, said in a statement.
"It's a reminder to parents about the continued need to get their children vaccinated."
For information on getting the H1N1 vaccine, call 211 or your doctor.
