WASHINGTON — U.S. Olympians from the Vancouver Games are making the most of their trip to the nation's capital, visiting all three branches of government on the same day.
Some were on Capitol Hill on Wednesday morning. Next up was an afternoon visit to the White House, then a Supreme Court reception in the evening.
There was also a school visit with Michelle Obama, where speedskater Shani Davis and moguls champion Hannah Kearney promoted the first lady's campaign against childhood obesity.
Davis shared a gentle high-five with the first lady when she noted they both come from the South Side of Chicago.
Exclaimed Obama: "We didn't grow up with speedskating. How'd you even know about speedskating?"
