A memorial service has been set for a Hawai'i Army National Guard soldier from Pearl City who died in a noncombat incident in Iraq last month.

Pfc. Raymond Pacleb, 31, was with Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 487th Field Artillery, 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.

Visitation is Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Mililani Downtown Mortuary at Mililani Memorial Park. A wake service begins at 7 p.m.

A second visitation is on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. The service is at 11 a.m. and burial is to follow at 1:30 p.m.

The 1996 Pearl City High graduate volunteered to deploy with the Virginia Army National Guard's 229th Military Police Company as a Unit Supply Specialist. Pacleb's death has been classified as a noncombat-related incident and there is still no word on when the investigation will be completed.

His awards include the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon, the Expert Rifle Badge, one Overseas Bar Decoration and a Hawaii National Guard State Award, the Medal for Merit.

Civilian attendees are requested to wear aloha attire. Military attendees are asked to wear Class A or equivalent uniform.
