Advertiser sale to Bulletin to close within a 'couple of weeks'
The closing date for the sale of The Honolulu Advertiser is expected to come within two weeks.
Star-Bulletin owner David Black had planned to complete his purchase of the state's largest newspaper on Sunday.
In an e-mail to staffers today, Advertiser Publisher Lee Webber said the closing is now expected to come "within the next couple of weeks."
"There are still several items that need to be completed," Webber said.
To make way for his purchase of the Advertiser, Black has listed the Star-Bulletin for sale. That sale is still pending and at least two investment groups have submitted bids for the daily newspaper.
