Hawaii women still 2nd at WAC

The University of Hawai'i women's golf team remained in second after the second round of the Western Athletic Conference Championship yesterday at the Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.
The Rainbow Wahine shot 303 yesterday for a two-day total of 608. They trail 40th-ranked San Jose State by two shots going into today's final round.
UH sophomore Erika Lundberg, who led the medalist chase after opening with a 1-over-par 72, fell to fourth after shooting a 77. Teammates Ka'ili Britos (73-150) and Corie Hou (72-151) are within two shots of Lundberg and also among the Top 10.
The individual leader is Idaho's Kayla Mortellaro, who shot 69 and stands at 147.
GRAND CANYON MEN TAKE PACWEST TITLE
The Grand Canyon men's golf team won the Pacific West Conference Championship yesterday at Hawai'i Prince Golf Course.
Brigham Young-Hawai'i's Inoka Kahawaii finished second after a 218 total. Grand Canyon's Terence Daniels won with a 212.
Grand Canyon finished at 876, 13 shots better than runner-up Dixie State.
BYU-Hawai'i was third, followed by UH-Hilo, Notre Dame de Namur, Academy of Art, Hawai'i Pacific and Chaminade.
