HEMIC Insurance Managers Inc. has become the exclusive representative in Hawaii for American Hallmark Insurance Co., a property and casualty company based in Texas

The relationship will allow HIMI to offer insurance products designed for small businesses, including a business owners policy and a business auto and excess policy, the company said in a news release. HIMI is a subsidiary of Hawaii Employers' Mutual Insurance Co.

"In short order we will introduce a commercial package policy that responds to businesses with more complicated insurance needs," said David Doehm, President of HIMI.
