Watts Constructors to share in Mainland military contract
Hawai'i-based contractor Watts Constructors will share in a Mainland military base improvement contract that could be worth up to $300 million.
Seven contractors were selected to participate in the utility construction award, which will involve electrical, lighting, cable TV and communications systems work in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico under the Naval Facilities Engineering Command. The work is expected to last until April 2015.
The contract follows a similar-sized utility construction award in the same region involving Watts announced last month.
