SEATTLE — Cliff Lee has been through a season's worth of events for his new Seattle Mariners. And he hasn't even pitched in a game that counts yet.
Finally, the 2008 American League Cy Young Award winner gets his Mariners debut Friday night at Safeco Field.
And Seattle finally gets to unwrap its prized winter acquisition.
Lee says he is fully recovered from a strained abdomen that has had him delayed since March 15.
He says he's anxious for his first start since Game 5 of the World Series in early November when he beat the New York Yankees for the Philadelphia Phillies.
Lee is scheduled to throw about 100 pitches.
