Traffic alert issued near University of Hawaii tonight for 3 athletic events
University of Hawaii officials are warning drivers of potential traffic jams at entrances leading to and from the parking structure off Dole Street and near University Avenue because of three major athletics events tonight.
Large crowds are expected at the 6 p.m. Wahine softball game, the 6:30 p.m. Rainbow baseball game at Les Murakami Stadium and the 7 p.m. Warrior football scrimmage on T.C. Ching Field.
Officials remind people that tailgating at and watching any of the events from the parking structure are prohibited and police officers will be patrolling and enforcing the rules.
On-campus parking is $5 in the parking structure or in lots on the main campus beginning at 4 p.m.
