UConn is No. 1 in The Associated Press women's basketball poll for a record 37th straight week, surpassing Louisiana Tech (1980-82) for the longest run atop the Top 25.
The Huskies again were the unanimous choice as the top team, receiving 40 first-place votes from a national media panel Monday.
The Huskies started their streak at No. 1 on Feb. 18, 2008, and won their 60th straight game Saturday by routing Pittsburgh. UConn (21-0) hosts West Virginia on Tuesday before traveling to Louisville on Sunday.
Connecticut has the second-longest streak in women's basketball history, and this run trails only the NCAA- and school-record 70 straight victories it set from 2001-03.
Stanford remained No. 2 while Notre Dame was third. Nebraska (19-0) is still unbeaten and moved up to No. 4. Tennessee was fifth.
