Ala Moana lanes reopened after water main break

Board of Water Supply crews have completed temporary road repairs on Ala Moana Boulevard and the roadway is open this morning.
Two mauka town-bound lanes of Ala Moana near Atkinson Drive were closed yesterday afternoon as crews worked to replace about 9 feet of pipeline after a 12-inch main ruptured. That work was done by 5, but road repairs went into the night.
The Board of Water Supply said temporary repairs were completed by 2:30 this morning, but that crews would have to return at a later date to finish road work.
