Today was the infamous media day at Sun Life Stadium in Miami. Media day is the one day during the week where media personnel from all over the world get to swarm the players with interviews.
It was a circus. One reporter made me sing happy birthday to Mexico and there were countless other Mexican news reporters who were under the impression I spoke Spanish and was of Mexican decent. So again I had to explain to all of them how my brown skin comes from Hawai'i and not Mexico. It was all in fun though. Luckily, I experienced the whole thing last year and knew what to expect.
Most of my interviews were geared toward how I am playing in back-to-back Super Bowls on different teams. One reporter did some research on it and hit me with an interesting fact. He said that I was only the 12th player in NFL history and only Hawaiian to be in back-to-back Super Bowls on different teams.
After all the media craziness was over with, we took a team photo and had the rest of the day off.
It still wasn't sunny here all day but I jumped in the ocean anyway.
The beaches are nice here in Florida. Nothing like Hawaiian beaches of course, but they will do the trick for now.
Aloha from Florida!
